Become a group facilitator
Attend a skill-sharing workshop (generally one Saturday) to learn and share facilitation skills. Be given support materials and practise how you might run a session. You can decide if/ when you want to help facilitate a group and will be given support to do so.
Become a babysitter
Could you lend a few hours to mind babies/ children so that the mothers get the chance to focus on themselves during a daytime group? It’s a chance to catch up with other mothers and make a little bit of cash.
Join the Core Group
Could you lend your skills/ experience and help oversee the direction of Mothers Network Wellington? The Core Group (like a committee) meets every six weeks or so to review plans and finances. While the day-to-day running is managed by part-time co-ordinators, the Core Group acts as a sounding board and an incubator for new ideas!
Give support
Could you help put up a few posters for a future group in your area? Or spare a few hours if Mothers Network has a stall at a Parent & Child show? Every little bit helps!
